Why We Give One Nonprofit a Free Website Every Year — And What We Built for Beacon Rescue

March 13, 20264 min read

There's a type of organization that does extraordinary work and has a website that looks like it was built in 2011. You've seen them. Maybe you've donated to one. The mission is real, the people are incredible — but the digital presence doesn't come close to telling that story.

We encounter organizations like this regularly. And a few years ago, we decided to do something about it.

Every year, United Foundry selects one 501(c)(3) nonprofit to receive a complete digital transformation — a full website rebuild, a configured Go High Level marketing platform, and dedicated support throughout the year. No cost. No catch. Just our team showing up for a mission we believe in.

In 2026, we chose Beacon Rescue.

Who is Beacon Rescue?

Beacon Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit crisis response agency based in Nashville, Tennessee. Their two core initiatives tackle some of the most difficult challenges imaginable: disaster response — coordinating on-the-ground relief during hurricanes, floods, tornadoes, and wildfires — and anti-human trafficking operations through their specialized Task Force Aegis.

Their teams include Special Forces veterans, first responders, law enforcement officers, and emergency managers with over 100 years of combined frontline experience. They've deployed to the LA wildfires, Texas floods, Tennessee tornadoes, and more. They've been covered by WSMV and WKRN. They're the real deal.

Their old website was not.

The problem with their old site

When we first visited beaconrescue.org, what we found was a single-page site heavy on all-caps text and light on everything else. There were no statistics, no press coverage, no blog, no training calendar, no clear way to donate or volunteer. One navigation link pointed to a broken URL. The overall impression was of a small, early-stage, low budget organization — which couldn't have been further from the truth.

We met with the Beacon Rescue leadership in person. Within about ten minutes, it was clear: this was a world-class team being undersold by a website that didn't reflect them at all.

The decision was easy.

What we actually built

The new beaconrescue.org is a complete rebuild. We designed a full multi-page site with dedicated sections for their capabilities, partners, volunteers, contact, and donations. We added an impact statistics bar front and center — 100+ years of combined experience, 24/7 crisis response, a national volunteer network, 11+ states assisted — because those numbers matter when you're asking someone to trust you with their donation or their time.

We built a "Latest Deployments" blog so their field operations — the Texas floods, the Tennessee ice storms, the LA wildfires — actually live on the web and tell the story of what this organization does in real time. We added a press section featuring their TV coverage. We created a training and events section with registration links for their Digital Safety Bootcamp for parents.

Behind the scenes, we configured a full Go High Level marketing platform: a CRM, automated email and SMS follow-ups for new donors and volunteers, and a unified inbox so their small team doesn't miss a message. They now have the same tools a fully staffed marketing department would use — without needing one.

"United Foundry has been an outstanding partner for Beacon Rescue. Their team took the time to understand our mission and created a professional platform that helps us connect with donors, partners, and the communities we serve."

— Robert Pasquale, Co-founder & CEO, Beacon Rescue

Why we do this every year

Running a business means we get to decide what we stand for. For us, that includes the belief that organizations doing the hardest work in the world shouldn't be limited by a bad website. A stronger digital presence means more donors, more volunteers, more partners — and ultimately, more impact.

We're a small team. We can't write a seven-figure check. But we can build something that helps a great organization raise more, grow faster, and tell their story the way it deserves to be told. That feels like the right use of what we're good at.

Nominations for the 2027 Free Nonprofit Makeover are open now. If you know a 501(c)(3) doing world-class work with a digital presence that doesn't match — send them our way.
